Tyler came to visit last weekend and my mom and Mitch came yesterday. Next week Nick's parents are coming down and the week after we're planning to see my family again! It's so fun to spend time with our families catch up.
Life has been busy, but it seems like it always will be. After I graduated in 2009 I moved back home to Roosevelt while I job hunted. I was lucky enough to be able to work for my dad and my mom and I even started doing wellness presentations for some of his groups. It was so much fun to talk with people about being healthier - but, never fail, we always got the same question when we started talking about exercise. "How am I supposed to find 60 minutes a day to exercise... working full time and having a family makes it really hard!" Ever since I've started working exercise has been a struggle! And some days, I honestly don't know how people fit in exercise! It's so easy when we wake up and go before work/school... but waking up at 5:15 is rough and going to the gym at night is tough! We're working on it (1/2 marathon training starts Monday) but it's sure been a struggle to figure out how to make time for the gym sometimes. If we went to bed before 11 it might be easier to wake up early... hmm....
Things really have been great for us! We sold Nick's Trooper today because we decided that we only need 1 car. If we weren't living where we do and if we weren't working where we do we probably wouldn't have been able to make it easily with only 1 car.... but we are motivated to save money to someday buy another car!
I was looking through some pictures today and I came across this....
And then I saw this....
These pictures were a year ago at a Chinese New Year party - me with dark hair (...) and one of my first experiences with some authentic Chinese food! Nick LOVES chinese food! The good news is we are attending a Chinese New Year party tonight! I just may blow the dust off the camera and take it with :)
