7 Months
It's that time again! Maylee is 7 months old. I have been so amazed at how quick Maylee changes - it's like overnight she learns how to do something new or her features look more grown up.

January - Wonder
One of my resolutions this year is to read 12 books - one for each month.
I finished my first book this morning, "Wonder" by RJ Palacio.
Hands down, this was the absolute best book for me to start 2014 with.

This book had me crying one minute and laughing the next. Although it's been 16 years (give or take) since I was in middle school, I was reminded of how uncomfortable and awkward 5th grade was.

Jazz Game!
My parents invited us to go to a Jazz game with them early January.
Living so close to the Delta Center, I'm surprised it took as long as it did for us to go to a game!
We took Maylee and, once again, she behaved great and we all had a fun time.
We're enjoying taking her with us as long as we can!

New Years Eve
Obviously this was our first new years eve with a baby, so we decided to just fly by the seat of our pants since we can't always predict May's schedule. Somehow she knew we were wanting to stay out late and she took an early evening nap, making it possible for us to go out around 8:00p.
Living downtown, we have the option to just sneak outside for a few minutes and find ourselves right in the middle of everything! We wandered Temple Square and even ventured into the Family History Center (party animals, right?).
After we'd had enough of walking around, we headed back to the condo and made an appearance at a little get together.
Our evening was topped off by watching a few episodes of The Walking Dead and watching some awesome fireworks out our windows. 2013 was wrapped up perfectly! Here's to 2014!

2013 In Review
January
We began 2013 by getting iPhones... and that was a big change to move from our "dumb" phones to accessing email, getting directions, and browsing the internet all from our cell phones.
We also started telling our friends that we were going to have a baby!
{the bump popped mid-January}
