SUU - UNLV game

Last weekend we went to Vegas with Rob and Lindsay Brito for the SUU-UNLV game.
We were a little nervous at the beginning (UNLV made a touchdown in the
first 2 minutes of the game), but we ended up KILLING UNLV.
Because Vegas is close, there were a ton of SUU students that went to the game. SO fun!
Last weekend we also scored free tickets to go to the play "Noises Off". It was hilarious!!!
What an eventful, fun weekend!

HOMECOMING!

Living in Cedar City, we have the opportunity to go to lots of fun activities at SUU. That past week was Homecoming, and I think this year was the best Homecoming they've ever had! We went to a party held Friday night that had thousands of people in attendance. They had a faculty/staff drawing for for an ipad, $1000 scholarship for a student, free yummy food, and some fun concerts - Peter Brienholt, Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband, Kurt Bestor, and Tyler Ward all performed. It rained and no one moved a muscle! I couldn't believe how many people came and STAYED.

Look how many people are there!!!

Saturday we had a busy day with everything going on - We watched a few of our friends finish the Cedar City 1/2 marathon, went to the PA Retreat and reunited with some of our friends from 5 years ago, went to the parade and watched SUU win the football game! What a great eventful weekend!

Under the Sea!

My parents gave us tickets to go to the Tuacahn's Little Mermaid for my birthday and we went last night! WE LOVED IT!!! The costumes were SO cute and the whole thing was amazing. We had excellent seats and we had so much fun. It was so good, we'd go again in a heartbeat!

Labor Day

Growing up Labor Day was always one of my favorite weekends. My birthday usually falls on the 3 day weekend and I love having another day to sleep in a little!

This year we were in Cedar City for Labor Day - there is a TON to do down here (we tend to forget all the national parks, festivals, etc that are so close to us!). Saturday we went to Peach Days in Hurricane and tried out churros from ChurBros (a booth run by some of our friends). They were so good! They make fresh churros and have a caramel dipping sauce for them too - DELICIOUS! Not to mention they also make Brazilian Lemonade which is super yummy too :)

We went to St. George Saturday night and had dinner at Texas Roadhouse with our friends Lindsay and Rob. The only condition we had on going to dinner in St. George was making it back to Cedar before the Tiki Shack closed for the season. Little did we know, after 9:00 all shaved ice was free on the last night of the Tiki Shack! What a cool night! We also wandered over to the school "Casino Night" activity... Next time we'll just get a RedBox!

Sunday was a very relaxed day which was nice! We started the morning off with a special Emerald Point sacrament meeting which was definitely a good choice. This month the single's ward is in charge of providing the sacrament meeting at the retirement home. We had a good time chit chatting with everyone there and we'll look forward to next Sunday!

After church, we relaxed and just plain hung out.
Nick made a yummy chocolate cake and Mitch, Sam and Syd came over to enjoy it with us.

Monday we went hiking at Zion with Camille and Brady. I may just have a bad memory, but I think that was my first time at Zion! Nick was lucky enough to go for GHA earlier this summer, but we've decided we need to take advantage of more of the national parks nearby.
We hiked to Emerald Pools and enjoyed the overcast weather. It was so fun!

What a good weekend we had!
