Our Spring Break

Nick started his week out in Washington DC. More to come on that trip soon. While Nick was gone, I spent some time in Roosevelt with my parents. It was great for all of us!

After we reunited, we headed to Southern Utah because Nick had a work meeting with one of their clients. We drove down Thursday night and I'M SO GLAD we traveled at night with Maylee. She slept a good portion of the way and it was perfect! We will have to remember that traveling at bedtime isn't a bad idea when you're driving with kids!

Friday morning Nick had his meeting - when he was done we took Maylee to the pool and splashed around for a while. We are going to have to toughen up so we can be cool parents, because Nick and I didn't last long in the cold water!

We decided it was important to stop by our favorite places while we were in Cedar City, so after visiting some of Nick's old coworkers we went to lunch. We went to the "Brick House Cafe" {my favorite restaurant} and ran into some of our old neighbors. We enjoyed our meals and were delighted to hear that they were handing out free pie for "pi day".

We visited a few more people then went back to our hotel so Maylee could rest. When she woke up, it was time for dinner.... And Nick chose the "Pizza Cart". We ordered a margarita pizza, but I think our order got mixed up - lucky for us because the pizza we got was SO YUMMY!

We devoured our dinner then went to see some friends who just bought a house. We had fun catching up with the Adams' and seeing their new place.

Saturday we woke up and headed to St George. I'd been dying to go to "Swig", the coolest drink drive-thru ever! Nick and I got fresca's with puréed peach and mango in them.... So good! We also treated ourselves to some of their delicious cookies. I'm dying to go back already!

We bummed around after that, shopping at Target and enjoying some Costco samples. We went to stay with Nick's grandparents Saturday night and we had a good time catching up with them. We also went to see Kent and Nikki Barney, friends with a baby just a couple months younger than Maylee. We had so much fun catching up with people we don't see as often as we'd like!

Sunday we started our drive back and stopped in Cedar for Camille and Brady Leigh's baby blessing - it was cute little Collin's special day. It was so fun to see my college roomies and their adorable babies.

The weekends always fly by too quickly, but we're happy we were able to spend a few days with each other :)
