Authentic Chinese

Nick and I are both taking Chinese classes this semester. Hou Qikun is spending a year at SUU teaching beginning and advanced Chinese classes. He invited Nick's class (the advanced class) over to eat some "Hot Pot" last week. Wife's were invited, so I got to go too! They used an electric skillet and heated up a watery liquid in it - then they basically just threw in whatever they wanted! Tofu, mushrooms, cabbage, spam, chicken etc and you just use your chop sticks to pick out whatever you want to eat. It was super spicey, but actually quite yummy.

We all used chop sticks... that was the only hard part!
