The Fault In Our Stars

I kind of fell off the book reading wagon for a couple months. Don't worry, I'll catch up. I have so many books I'd like to read that I'm not even sure where to start...

11 Months

I feel like this last month was a big one for Maylee...  She's really starting to understand what we're saying, and we've been able to teach her a few things!  Maylee really is such a fun girl and she really is more than we could have ever imagined.

Changes Heading Our Way

For the past 9+ months we've been living right in the heart of downtown Salt Lake.  We have had so much fun being close to City Creek and Temple Square, and we're so lucky that my parents were willing to let us live in invade their condo :)  It's been SO nice to have everything so accessible to us - a grocery store just a short walk away, the mall to wander and window shop, fun places so close to go to exercise, a REALLY nice location and place to live in.... I could carry on for a long time about how much fun we've had the past 3/4 year as a family.  We have loved every second of being here.....

10 months!

Our blog has turned into a monthly baby update blog.... :)  

Our lives do revolve around her, so I guess that's to be expected!  

We're so lucky to have sweet Maylee in our lives - she is so happy all the time and is a true joy to us.

Happy Easter from our family to yours!  

This Easter was Stake Conference for us, which was different but kind of nice!  

It's becoming a little trickier to pay attention at church with an almost-10-month-old-ball-of-energy, but that's just life so we're figuring it out :)

I have loved seeing the #becauseofhim Easter posts this week...

looking back on it, I'm sad I didn't participate!  

So.... here are a few things that I know because of our Savior.

Because of Him, we can become better each and every day.  

When we make mistakes, we can be forgiven.  

Because of Him, I can be a better wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Because of Him, we can aspire to be more than we would be on our own.

Easter Pictures

I've probably mentioned this before, but Linda has tried to take pictures of Maylee every month this year (we missed March and I think we skipped over August or November or some month last year....).  It's been so fun to make a little plan of what we can dress her in and where to do her pictures. Last night we went to Temple Square to take a few pictures outside by the flowers.  Maylee was wearing her Easter dress and she looked really cute!  As it goes sometimes with babies, her mood was up in the air because she didn't nap much yesterday....

She did great!  She didn't give us BIG smiles, but she cooperated and we got a few cute photos.  Here are a couple that I snapped.

9 Months

I'm slacking....

We attempted to take a picture of Maylee on the day she was 9 months and she wouldn't hold still.  Every picture was awful because she was rolling away :)  I guess that's just the stage we're in, so oh well!
