Brian Regan

Nick and I scored 14th row tickets to Brian Regan last Friday when he came to SUU. WE LOVED IT! He was ALL OVER the place with his famous ADD walk and his jokes too - his funny mannerisms and facial expressions make everything he says 10 times more funny! Our faces hurt afterward from smiling so much :)

In Memory...

One year ago Nick and I went ring shopping. We shopped and shopped until we found the perfect ring - you have to have the perfect ring to go with the perfect couple right? (I know what you are thinking.. "She's right!".... :D)

Anyway, one year later we make plans to go shopping again... You see, long story short, my ring went in for repairs and something terrible happened... it disappeared... But alas, the jeweler will take care of us. I sure will miss that sparkly ring though!!!

I'm Pregnant!

April Fools.

Isn't April fools the weirdest day? My poor Grandpa was born on April fools day.... I can only imagine what it was like growing up with your birthday on April 1st.

I thought it would be funny to pull a prank on Nick - I had my plan all ready. I had a dollar store pregnancy test and I got one of my pregnant friends to help me make it positive. When it came time to put the prank into action though, I got scared (I know right...) and my initial plan fell through. Wanting to still make my prank go into action, I made up some crazy story to tell Nick. "You know how I've been sick? Well, I kept dreaming last night that I was pregnant. In the middle of the night I felt way sick and was kind of out of it, so I decided to take a pregnancy test. I initially thought it was negative and went back to bed, but when I woke up this morning I realized I read it wrong Nick! It's positive! What if I'm PREGNANT!"

His response: "Heather, you are so funny. Don't worry, you aren't pregnant. Those dollar store pregnancy tests probably always come out positive."

FOR REAL?!?! Dangit!

I didn't admit to Nick that I was trying to pull a prank on him yet. So... as of now my husband still thinks I'm taking crazy pills and used a pregnancy test in the middle of the night because of some weird dreams I was having combined with a stomach ache!

The best part was asking my cute pregnant friend to rig my pregnancy test. We laughed for like 10 minutes straight.... so I guess it was worth it? Maybe after today is over I'll find out that my wedding ring getting thrown in the trash was a joke too... (Neither of us did it.... the jeweler did) but I guess only time will tell!

Not Much...

There isn't a whole lot of anything exciting going on here! School, work, planning our summer.... that's about it. We did get our pictures from the sweethearts dance in February though....

Also, one of my favorite college roommates is getting married in a couple weeks, and she had a fun bridal shower I went to on Saturday-

Other than that, Nick's been doing LOTS of homework and I've been trying to spice up our kitchen/living room. Here are a few recent projects....
Pillows....

I have been trying to figure out how to arrange a few decorations on our wall and today this developed.... I'm feeling pretty good about it for now...

This has to be my very favorite - I dreamt about these letters for months before I actually got around to doing them...

Nothing too exciting, but I do like how this frame turned out.

Last thing.... Mitch has finally made his decision on where he's going to go to college..... the winner is... SUU!!! We are so excited to have Mitch down here next year! SUU is a great school and Mitch will LOVE it. He's going to be an ambassador too, so that's awesome!

(Isn't he handsome?!)

St. Patrick's Day

We finally had a chance to test out this bad boy we got for Christmas!

We invited friends over for a little pot luck BBQ! Delicious food and fun company! Because it was St. Patrick's Day, we had plenty of green food to eat. Nick joked about dying the chicken green (yuck!), but we decided it would be best if we just dyed the cookies we made.

The dough looked like mint chocolate chip!

Kelli brought these little beauties - cupcake balls

Nick was the man on the grill and he loved it! We're excited to go camping and take the grill with us!

Cute little Kyden

Trevor and Cassie

Nick and Heather

Cameron and Kelsey (Cameron hates green.... so you can see that neither him or his wife are wearing green!)

Kalli and Scott (Scott is wearing the lucky ears...)

Kelli, Kirk, and Kyden

And our friend Sam came too!

Here's a shot of the whole gang!

Unbelievable!

I absolutely cannot comprehend what Japan is going through right now. A friend shared these pictures with me and I could not believe what I was seeing.

Unreal. The night before this devastating event I was traveling to Kanab with some co-workers. As we were driving back, I was asking them if their wives had 72 hour kits - the both said no. I continued to talk about how I felt like it was important to make a few 72 hour kits for Nick and I to keep on hand - we talked about getting a group together and making some because you just never know!

I have no idea how these people could even begin to prepare for this natural disaster they have been experiencing. Everything they own was destroyed and they are left with nothing. However, if there was any way that I could be prepared for some sort of unexpected tragedy, I sure hope I would be.

Here's to making 72 hour kits! I will do some research and make a good list - then I'll share it in case any of you feel like you need one too!

Best Work Email Ever!

"Hi Heather,

I'm not sure if you're the right person, but do you sell eggs? (If not, I'm sure this is a strange question!)

Thank you"
