Christmas Break!

School is out for Chrismas! Nick gets a WHOLE MONTH off school! How awesome is that?! We're semi-glued to Cedar because I don't get as long of a break as Nick... but that's okay :) We're still finding fun things to do!

Last weekend we went to an Alumni tailgate party before a men's basketball game. Lucky us, Santa made it too! We got a picture with him and with some of our friends too -




Some of our friends from our ward, Trevor and Cassie, are so good at making cakes! They make wedding cakes, birthday cakes, and cool novelty party cakes too! We've been talkng about making a cake with them for a few weeks, and we decided to get together yesterday to make an ornament cake! The actual cake was baked in a pyrex bowl - we put fondant on it (which we won't eat.... we just wanted to see how it worked!) and we just experimentd with a few things - like edible glitter and a cool fondant cutter.

Not bad for a first round cake!


We tried to spice up our Christmas gifts by putting small ornaments on our gifts. Probably my favorite dollar store find this season!


Tonight we had an ugly sweater party with some friends. We also did a "wedding gift you can't return and don't want" gift exchange game. It was fun! Here are our couple shots...
