A danish acorn and brussel sprouts... unless I can find a good way to cook these, no thanks!
These are a maybe... some sort of orange tomato looking thing and "not normal" pears. We don't know what these are... we'll give them a try, but... we'll see.
We don't feel like we wasted any money though, 'cause look at everything we will have no problem eating!
you're awesome heath, and ps.. brussel sprouts are actually WAY yummy.... I found that I really like them.. if you just boil them in water 'til they are soft (can poke a fork easily through them) then put butter and S&P on them.. TRY IT- maybe you'll like them... Then those are Asian Pears, I believe, we haven't tried them yet.. and those other pumpkin/tomato things are called Japanese Persimmon, supposedly wait until they are slight soft and then they are good to eat- I think it said something like they are a tangy fruit! we'll see!! good luck!
ReplyDeletehaha I am still not sure about the sprouts... But those are great ideas! I heard the orangish tomatoes taste like kiwi!!! Can't wait until they ripen :) You are too cute Leis! Thanks for those ideas. Do you guys do bountiful baskets?
ReplyDeleteWe have only done it once.... and our little orangish tomatoes finally were ripe enough to eat these past couple of days... not my favorite, but we tried them- can't say they tasted like kiwi, but i'll let you be the judge of that :)
ReplyDeleteSome of our friends made a bread out of their persimmon.... apparently there are lots of recipes for them! They too said they were pretty bland....
